Hi, I am from Edmonton and this will be my first year participating in the ride. I was wondering if someone can provide me with a little more information on the start/finish line for both days. I will be coming to Calgary on the friday night and I am trying to find a campground that takes reservations that would be close to the start/finish line.
The start finish line is at Spruce Meadows. If you're not familiar with that, it's southwest of Calgary on 22X. Google it for more info. Plus there's info on the Ride webpage.
Well....hopefully the start/finish will be at Spruce Meadows again....it was there last year (2010) but the route has changed yearly. In 2009 the start was at the Blackfoot Inn and Casino (Calgary) while the finish was at the Sierra West Ranch down towards the Crows Nest Pass.
Generally, the route info comes out in late May or early June. I don't know if they will keep the same route as 2010...lots of folks had a hard time with the last 35 km of day 1 (Nanton to Chain Lakes park).
