HEY EVERYONE! I"m creating a team this year call Angels for Hope and would like to design a custom jesrey for the team. I have tried repeatly many times using the Sugoi custom templates but it comes out distorted. I don.t know if I need special software or program to make it work. I've called Sugoi several times, they've given steps to take but still failure. So if there is anyone who can give me an easy step by step process where my artwork can go on the back, team logo in the front and any text/color scheme I can add. I will make a personal donation to your ride. Thank you Ed (hawki) Engel
I haven't tried using Sugoi's jersey generator...but I'm just thinking it could be the size of the image you're trying to use. When I had the prototype jersey done up a couple years ago, I did as much as I could do on-line and then sent that and the artwork to the jersey company. If you've got access to a vector based drawing program (Adobe Illustrtor, AutoCad) they don't generally have much trouble getting the image to scale in without distortion.
I'll have a look at Sugoi's site and see if I can come up with any other ideas for you.
Well, I spent a little time on their site...looks like the on-line thing is a bit...ummm...unusual. I think you'd be safer if you print off their template, do a sketch of your design using it (i.e. colour up the template) and then provide a vector drawing of the team artwork/ logo you want for the front and back. If you don't have access to a vector-based drawing program, you could get them to do it (though they'll likely charge you an "artistic development fee" or something).
I may be able to put the .jpg in as a base and trace it in CAD for you. I'd need to see how complex the artwork is to see if I'd have a hope...I'm good with CAD, but it isn't the first choice for vector based art for this sort of thing. Illustrator is a wee bit foreign to me too :)
