New Raspberry Pi Model A launches in Europe for only

The Raspberry Pi has taken the DIY world by storm. From rapid prototyping by engineers to students tinkering with their first electronics project, the $35 Raspberry Pi Model B has been an unqualified success. The rest of the world will be able to get their hands on it soon enough, but that not the only thing happening in the world of Raspberry Pi.

Without support sport iphone 5 cases for Ethernet, the Model A uses about a third of the power needed for the Model B. On top of that, it ten dollars cheaper and noticeably shorter. The loss of Ethernet functionality restricts its usefulness for some projects, but the smaller overhead makes this version of the board quite enticing for large organizations like schools that need to buy many at a time.

Just a few days ago, it came to light that Google is partnering with schools in the United Kingdom to distribute 15,000 boards to students. As a leading tech company, Google is always on the look out for more talent. By enabling children to learn the intricacies of electronics and programming, the Mountain View company is essentially investing in a future talent pool. This is just another example of why a lowprice computing platform is impacting the world
