Tip: Adjust the video and audio parameters as the below screenshot, including the Bitrate of Video&Audio, Video Size, Sample Rate, Frame Rate, Audio Channels, etc., by clicking the Settings button on the main interface for getting the best quality before starting conversion.

Step 3. Hit the Convert button and the will start Sony 3D AVCHD MTS to Apple ProRes, AIC, NDxHD conversion on Mac OS X(Mountain Lion, Mavericks included) right away.

After the conversion, you can transfer 3D MTS video from Sony cams to Mac for further editing with FCP, iMovie, FCE, Premiere Pro, Avid MC without any issue.

Best workflow for Editing 60p AVCHD in Sony Vegas Pro 13/12/11

Summary: Have issues with importing 60p AVCHD MTS footage to Sony Vegas Pro on your Windows 8.1 or 8? Just follow the steps below to convert 60p MTS to Sony Vegas Pro compatible format(MPEG-2 format) to sovle it.

Nowadays, more and more cameras and camcorders can give high-definition 1080 60p shootings. But we usually meet the problems while importing the 1080 60p AVCHD to Sony Vegas Pro (latest version 13 included) for postproduction.

Why does this happens? The reason behind that you can't edit 60p AVCHD MTS files in Sony Vegas Pro smoothly is due to the format and codec. AVCHD MTS is a delivery codec rather than editing codec and the 1080 60p is a non-standard format for NLE such as Sony Vegas Pro.
