Good Bike Training Routes

I just found a website called bikely.com where users draw maps of the routes that they like and label them easy, hard, street, etc, along with the distance of the ride.  I haven't tried any of the routes on it yet, but I like the idea.  Does anyone know of similar websites that have proven routes??

Hi Cholland, I don't know of any proven cycling routes or sites, but runningmap.com is a good site to calculate your mileage accurately.  It uses google maps or google earth to do so, and in many cases you can even see the wooded trails (this is good for running if not cycling)!
check it out.

mapmyride.com also has routes in many areas that are rated with elevation gain and distance markers

Bikely is great!
These are two I have entered for the rides in the NW:

Alternate Saturdays: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/COP2BraggCreek

Tuesdays: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/NWCloverleafLoop
Happy riding!Nigel
