Donations?..

I was just wondering.. on everyone's personal page with their picture, they have the temperature meter that shows their money raising progress. Though I just got my 1st donation the other day and I would like to see my progress and not have loads of cheques build up and have to keep track of them at home, so if I have the cheque and donation form filled out and ready to be taken, where do I take it?

I've been mailing mine to the address written on the top of the donation form. Seeing how you are actually in Calgary, there ought to be a place you can just drop them off. You might give the Ride admin a call and find out. I called the other day, and cheques won't show up on your meter for about 4-6 weeks.

ok..but do you just get a blank envelope and write the address on it, and it goes to them.. or do you have to pay postage for it yourself?

I depends, sometimes the donors will mail it themselves, or sometimes I will. For me, anyway, it's not a big deal since I already have a large roll of stamps from Costco. Like I said, you should phone them (the number is right on the homepage) and see if there is somehwere local you can drop them off.

All the best with your fundraising!

I got one cheque and mailed it to the address on the form.  It took about three weeks to show on my progress.

I donot think it will be a problem but they need time to clear the cheques.  They say 5 weeks but it did not take that long for me.  I think they say 5 weeks to give themselves breathing space.
I do not know how it works but I think a lot of them are volunteers like us.
