Oops, my bad... got mine today and what is at the General Store is not the same....we get the participant jersey, not a commemorative jersey. I'll see if I can throw up a pic before I start adding stuff to mine.
Yeah, it sure is. I started trying to lay out where I am going to put some patches on mine and then I found the image that is going on the right sleeve... my co-worker who passed of colon cancer in November.
I'm using the cover from the handout given at his service...I must admit, working to get it scanned and onto an iron-on transfer so I can make a patch I was getting pretty choked up too.
Did the on-line check in go well for you Stan? I'm just wondering if it could be tied to your not quite hitting the 2.5k yet. Hmmmm...might need to call the Ride office on that one.
Got my jersey yesterday!!! And wow it's almost here and then I watch the video of the BC start and wow .. it hit home ... I am excited, scared, and overwhelmed!!!
I know the feeling....I got my jersey modified today (all my patches are on) and I sent a thank-you to the daughter of the man I'm riding in memory of (she added a donation in the last couple days). This is going to be quite the event and I'm glad, humbled and scared poopless to be doing it. :)
