Has anyone seen the detour particulars for going around the flooding in Maple Creek? I've heard a 2 -3 hour increase in time and distance and just wondering if anyone has taken the route and knows more details?
The detour report on the Alberta Motor Association site says that motorists are being directed north on hiway 41 to hiway9 causing a 200 km addition. There are however secondary roads that could get you around the trouble area and back on the trans-canada to the west of the problem.

You may want to consider going through Rosetown and Kindersley. It's a decent route. Lots of places to stop along the way and the road is well-maintained. It's a bit longer, but you can hook up with Highway 2 north of Calgary and head south from there. Just an option.
Looks like I am going to Saskatoon for the detour, then highways 7 and 9, this adds about 2.5 hrs to the trip each way but I should be able to get there this way.
Pretty much the whole thing I guess, I am from Drumheller so through there to Calgary, not sure when I am hooling up on it from highway 7 but I know I pass through oyen and Hanna I think
