New Jerseys...all the likes, dislikes and trades thread

So....very yellow jersey for 2012. I think this is the brightest overall jersey we've had to date.  The beanie is nice too.

Also, I find it interesting that they are doing the helmet tags this year...hopefully only to ensure they have eveyone accounted for and not for timing the Ride (elsewise I think a few people will start looking at it more like a race).

Hehehe....sorry, busy weekend and I didn't have a chance to get any pics.

The Ride jersey is bright yellow with a ghosted pattern. Looks good, but very bright yellow. My first impression was "Yikes! That's yellow!!" but it has grown on me a bit.

The beanine is a Sugoi "Tuke"...think of a skull cap made of black jersey material with the Ride logo on the front, 2012 on the back and a small shout out to Enbridge on the sides.

I like the Jersey. Yellow is a hard color to wear usually but I think the sea of Yellow will have a great impact on the road. Everyone will have to wear sun glasses. lol. I'm looking forward to participating this year.

Hehehe...I can certainly agree....it'll look interesting at the start....it will quite literally be a sea of yellow.

From the Ontario Ride, it looks like the ambassadors are black with yellow trim, where the regular ones are yellow with blue trim. A bit different to be sure.

I have my very bright yellow jersey but it's too big!  I ordered a large and I think I need a medium - anyone willing to trade with me?  Will be easier to trade before the chaos on Saturday morning :)

Love the Jersey! Finally something with excitement.  All the running jersey boring RED.    Anyhow, have a men's large (love inconsistent sizing), need to trade for your X-Large?  email me zuk_k@hotmail.com.  Calgary!  Oh, not worn, except to tryon.  Want to beat day 1 exchange!

I, myself, prefer the jersey's of previous years with the black rather than yellow. I think they stand out a lot more than the blue and yellow of this year. However, I am very impressed with the arm warmers, tuke and helmet trackers (although, like Mike, I hope they are only to ensure that everyone is accounted for/safety aspects and not for anything else). It's nice to see them supplying items like this that we all need anyway. Also, I love the fact that they supplied a map this year of Spruce Meadows so we can try to get organized before arriving and driving around trying to figure out where we unload our bags! This has happened in previous years, or the signs/directions haven't been the best. So far, so good if you ask me.

I have a 2010 Toronto RTCC Jersey, which (despite being TO) has nice coloring and not TOO loud. The new ones are bright, which is good, but I'm not crazy about the patterning. I'm not a fan of blue either.

If the sun is shining we'll be visible from space.

Jen, thanks for the note...I hadn't seen the map of Spruce yet, so I'll have to look it up.

I do agree, though....the yellow and black (or blue and black for the ambassadors) was pretty spiffy in years gone by...the solid yellow with blue striping or black and yellow for ambassadors this year is a little different.

I do agree, in sunlight we'll be visible from the ISS (the jerseys are pretty much the same for all the Rides in Canada....just sponsor logos change o nthe pockets).

Was everyone suppose to get arm warmers?

I think only if you went to an orientation session, that is where they were handing them out.  As part of your ride package, not here in Alberta anyhow.  PS, they keep the sun off, not a lot of heat in/cold out

Yeah, as Zukone said, they were an orientation goodie. They do help keep the rain off and and help cut the wind a bit. If it's not freezing cold, I have found they can help a fair bit....but they are not the be all and end all of thermal protection :)

I got a pair when I registered, it was at an information table...I think they were an incentive along with the wrist band. That was back in December.

They aren't great quality; the stitching started coming apart after just a few rides but they look cool. They're pretty thin and not very warm, but if nothing else they make a good sunblock...and they stuff easily into a jersey pocket.
